Seven Things

The Holmes tagged me a while ago with the seven things meme. Procrastinator that I am, I've shirked my blogging responsibilities. It's a lovely day here, I should be outside enjoying the weather, but the guilt is getting too much to bear. I can deal with it actually, but ignoring a tag is rude blogging, I'm sure. If I looked I'd probably find a book about blogging etiquette on Amazon, not that I'd care.

Anyhow, e.g. irregardless, the meme was of the seven things, so with reckless abandon without further adieu, here goes.

1. I'm left-handed, not that that's a bad thing. I remember the day in kindergarten when we began to learn to write. The teacher asked 'which hand do you use?' and pretty arbitrarily I said 'this one' meaning my left hand. Life decision made. No, I don't do everything lefty, it's a right-handed world, here's the short list: Writing-left, mouse-right, scissors-right, phone-right... Pretty much I only write goofy.

2. I'm one of those iPod Halo Effect switchers. I love music and when the iPod was released, I knew I had to have one, except iPod was Mac only at that point and I was PC only. Fast forward two years-iTunes 4.1 comes out for Windows, I was downloading it that morning-on my work machine. After a crushingly disappointing iPod-free Christmas, I bought one for myself and I've been a mac fanboy every since.

3. Getting names right is important to me. One of my pet peeves is getting someone's name wrong. Maybe it's not a big issue to other people but calling someone the wrong name seems very insulting to me. If I'm not sure of someone's name, I don't guess. If you don't remember my name, I'd rather you asked.

4. I design signs at my job. We do vehicle graphics, banners, flat signs and carved, gold leafed signs. It's fun when I get to be creative and a sign comes out really well. That doesn't happen very much, a big part of the job requires 0% creativity, but hey, it pays the bills and it's way better than bagging groceries.

5. We're planning on moving this summer. Our house is under contract, but we're waiting for the closing. We can't wait to be out of here. It's been a loooooonnnnnngggggg time, we signed the contract last October. It'll be worth it, but it's certainly teaching us patience.

6. I was born on Flag Day. That's June 14th for those of you who don't know. I can think of three other people with the same birthday. Flag day babies rock.

7. I'm going to be a Daddy for the second time, here's all the excitement. It was a surprise! Not really cause the rhythm method≠birth control. To anyone out there who's using the rythmn method-you're on borrowed time! We're glad, we were planning on having another and this is a good time frame. Ava will be about 2 years and three months when baby #2 is born. My sister-in-law is also pregnant, also a surprise! Looks like it's going around. Bonus Fact: Baby number two will be the last!

Okay, now you know everything interesting there is about me, I've fulfilled my responsibility and I feel good. I hereby tag Chad and Ginny, together or separate, cause I'm sure they're looking for things to do.
