I'm afraid the mighty Google has failed me, not that it's entirely their fault. I want a little miniblog to put over there in the sidebar, but no luck. I 've got the Et Cetera (no relation to Peter Cetera,) powered by Twitter, and that's good, but you can't link to stuff in your short little Tweets. I've got the linkblog which is the shared items from Google Reader, nice but you can't comment to them, and I'd hate for you to miss out on my pithy observations and cutting wit.
I could add a HTML page element module-thingy, but I want something that's easier to post to/manage than that. RCG used to be a Wordpress blog and you can have asides where you can post and assign them to a specific category. Easy to post to, only shows a set number of asides, can be inline with the regular posts or on your sidebar. Easy as falling off a bicycle. I've been from one end of these intarwebs to the other and no luck. I'll keep looking, perhaps it'll show up one day if I figure it out. It should be easier than this, are you listening blogger? Hello? Anyone?

I'm not sure I completely understand what you're trying to do, but have you looked at tumblr? tumblr.com I believe it is. Not sure if that's something you can embed, but it's sort of a miniblog that allows comments.
