Decorating for Easter

When my wife decorates for Easter/spring, she gets out the eggs, bunnies, pastel-colored tchotchkes, etc. My version of Easter decorating is different. It includes the removal of the outdoor Christmas decorations, which I did today. It's great.

We're right in the thick of the lovely Maine mud season, when the snow disappears, the top few inches of sod thaws, the ground below is still frozen. Turns the driveway into a mess, but I'm not complaining, it was in the 50s today (yay! come on spring!) I got the convertible out and washed all three vehicles, too. This is about the best time of year and my strange reasoning is that winter is basically done: the whole of spring and summer are yet to be enjoyed. We're not out of the woods, I'm expecting at least one more sloppy storm, but we're almost there!

So you're the guy that keeps the lights up til March. I thought as much.

We actually got a wild hair up our rears and took down all of the X-mas stuff on the 26th (yes, of Dec) in a crazy whirlwind of pine and tinsle. It was awesome.

There's nothing wrong with keeping Christmas lights up until March or later. As long as you don't turn them on! ;} Now that you've undecorate the Christmas/New Years/Valentines Day/St. Patrick's Day tree will the Easter bunny be able to find your house?
